The non-partisan, non-profit Tax Foundation, a research organization that has monitored tax policy at the federal, state and local levels since 1937, has moved Maine up a dramatic 7 slots in their business tax climate rankings for 2013, citing recent reforms.
In the Tax Foundation report, released on October 9, Maine?s improvement is the largest rise of any state in the nation, with Maine moving up 7 spots and Michigan close behind, moving up 6.
Maine People Before Politics members and volunteers have led the charge in providing grassroots support to encourage the Maine Legislature to support these nation leading reforms.
