JUNE 9
FOOD
Old Fashioned Ice Cream Social will be held June 9 from 5-8 p.m. at Landmark Park. Free ice cream, music, cake walk. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for kids. Park members enter free.

JUNE 14-16
MUSIC
BamaJam 2012 will be held June 14-16 at BamaJam Farms, located at the intersection of Highway 167 and Boy Scout Road near Enterprise. Artists include Kid Rock, Tim McGraw, Sheryl Crow, Willie Nelson, Zac Brown Band, Alan Jackson, Gov?t Mule and Uncle Kracker. Visit bamajam2012.com for more information and tickets.

MUSIC
Music by Moonlight will be held at Landmark Park on the gazebo lawn on June 14 and June 28. Performances begin at 7:30 p.m.

JULY 4

The Kiwanis Club of Dothan's Family 4th Celebration will take place at Center Stage Alabama. Gates open at 2 p.m. with fireworks shortly after 9 p.m. Nationally-acclaimed country music group Shenandoah will perform on the amphitheater stage at 7:30 p.m. Free activities for children as well as shopping with vendors and plenty of food available. MUSIC
Dothan?s own Dr. Ed LaCour and Dr. Dwight Baker will perform a jazz concert on July 12 at the Cultural Arts Center on South St. Andrews Street in Dothan. The performance will feature a guest musician from the Wiregrass Youth Symphony. The concert will be in the banquet hall from 8 to 11 p.m. Cash bar will be available. The jazz duo will play a number of piano and saxophone jazz numbers. Proceeds will go towards matching grants for after-school music programs provided at the arts center. Tickets will be available beginning June 15 at the art center?s box office window. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 the night of the show. Cash or checks only.

AUG. 11

Football Fest will be held Aug. 11 at the Dothan Civic Center from 5-9 p.m. There will be samples of tailgating foods, collegiate football merchandise for sale, trivia contests and prizes, and a keynote address from former Alabama football coach Gene Stallings at 7 p.m. General admission seating for the speech is just $10. VIP reserved seating that also includes a steak dinner and a meet-and-greet with Stallings is available for $100 to the first 250 people who sign up. COMEDY
Jim Gaffigan will present an evening of stand-up comedy at the Marina Civic Center in Panama City, Fla., on Monday, Aug. 13, at 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online at marinaciviccenter.com, by phone at 850-763-4696, or the Marina Civic Center Box Office. Tickets are $39.75 and $49.75 plus applicable service charges. Gaffigan?s clever, quiet style has made him one of the top five most successful touring comedians in the country today and his CDs and DVDs have reached platinum sales.
