Fitness nursing! What kind of nursing is that? Good question; and I just happen to have an answer. It is reportedly one of the top 10 most exciting prospects in nursing. My all time favorite nursing position would (of course) have to be the ever in demand trauma nurse. Between that and forensic nursing they have my personal vote as exciting

The career known as fitness nursing comes in at #5 on that exciting nursing jobs list. Fitness nursing involves all things nursing combined with all things personal training (sort of). Where does a fitness nurse work? They find employment at/as hospital gyms or private fitness centers and gyms and as personal trainers; health and fitness assessments; they can run screenings and health fairs; work in spas and health clubs; be highly involved in surgical recovery such as cardiac rehab and so much more. Knowledge about a healthy diet is of the utmost importance as well as being entirely acquainted with all muscles, tendons, ligaments, bones, organs and all other aspects of the human anatomy.

More Health Care than Actual Fitness

Now if you?re looking into a type of nursing that involves more closely related aspects of medicine, a hospital ER or floor nurse is one (actually 2) option(s). You could also utilize your nursing skills by looking into dialysis nurse careers. These nurses must be personable, patient, knowledgeable, empathetic and prepared for anything. Most people see patients lounging in recliners while receiving their treatments when they think of dialysis. What they don?t realize is that at any time (as with any medical procedure) the unthinkable is forever lurking just around the corner.
